Participation

Involvement from people who experience mental illness and/or use mental health services is integral to the way we work. We believe they have the best knowledge of what will work best for them, and therefore Kites ensures the consumer voice is included in everything we do.

Kites employs consumers because they have the skills, knowledge and experience to do their job, in addition to being able to draw on their own experience. Kites seeks participation for specific projects and consumers are involved in project management, forming reference groups and contributing to forums and workshops.

Consumer experiences provide the direction for Kites to follow.
